Ayurvedic Tea - Men's Energy Charger
Ayurveda teachings from ancient traditions form the basis for this blend. This spicy and tangy herbal mixture exudes a hint of penetrating aromas and flavor making this a delicious tasting Ayurvedic tea for men.
Standard Hot Brew Prep Steep Time: 5-10 min. Temp: 203-212 F Amount: 1 level tsp. Serving: 6 to 10 oz. cup NotesRemember, longer HOT steeping times for Ayurvedic teas will increase profile strength, and will extract better results from the bits of spices and whole seeds used in these teas. Decoction methods of brewing are also ideal for stronger extractions.
Cold Brew Prep Prep Steep Time: 4-5 hours. Temp: Normal cold refrigeration Amount: 5 level tsp. Serving: 1 Quart
NotesBe sure to cover tightly to avoid steeping tea from absorbing other aromas in the refrigerator. Strain and enjoy the cold-brew tea that will last for days. Crushed ice and sweetener can be added if desired.
Decoction Brew Prep
Decoction is a form of making a concentrate. The longer the tea is boiled, the stronger and more flavorful a concentrate is made. The concentrate can then be refrigerated and later used according to the strength desired for cold or hot tea beverages. If tea is too strong, simply dilute with cold or hot water. - For best results, use filtered or spring water in a pot to boil on the stove.
- First, bring water to a boil, then measure approx. 1/4 oz. of Ayurvedic tea to one 8 oz. cup of water. (For a larger serving, measure 1 oz. of tea to 1 qt. of water.)
- When water begins to boil, add your tea and stir, cover pot with lid, and reduce heat to simmer for 5 to 20 minutes (taste test to determine the profile you will enjoy).
- For larger ingredients like roots, bark or seeds may require the longer simmer time of 15 to 20 minutes.
- Remove from heat, strain and serve hot or chill for cold brew.
NotesBest consumed without milk. Mixing dairy product with this type of tea is not recommended.
